Client No. 2?

Last week I went to my chiropractor to get my weekly adjustment. When I was done, I asked what they had for advertisements. THEY HANDED ME A MICROSOFT OFFICE DOCUMENT TEMPLATED TRI-FOLD WITH NO KERNING, LACK OF STYLE, COLOR, AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!! AAARRRRGGHHHHH!!! So I made an impromptu proposal for a CMYK un-coated tri-fold on heavier stock. Anyhow, I am going back to their office on Friday and will hopefully be landing a new client. I hope I can land this. It would be great because it will get me experience in the print industry.

Finally!!!

Yesterday I completed my first logo design project for a local business called Scoopz Old Fashion Candy & Ice Cream. Great Place. Below is my my first logo and also my final logo

Yeah I went into the shop about this time last week and talked to the owner of the shop, looking for my break into the design industry. I did the design for free. However, it was only a PR opportunity. As soon as I get info on when the sign is going up, I will be contacting the newspapers to let them know that this business is getting a new front and that I did the logo (I did get the owners permission to do this). But this is strict public relations to actually get my name out there. I am looking to do more business after this with other businesses. This was real fun (and yet somewhat stressful) to do this project.

Yes I have made myself a Poster Child

Here I am. I am a graphic design student at Illinois Valley Community College. The Fall ’09 semester is approaching rather rapidly. I need close to $1,000 dollars for tuition and I don’t know how much for books. I have just recently launched into graphic design freelancing and I need clients.
